To maintain the security of VPN services, IDS will be updating the VPN certificates on the evening of Thursday 20th January. This work will be conducted from 5pm and is not service affecting. When connecting to the VPN, you might be prompted to accept a new certificate but otherwise this change will be unnoticeable to anyone using these services.

This work is being completed to maintain security of devices accessing Keele services.
Work is being completed on 20th January at 5pm on vpn.keele.ac.uk and anyconnect2.vpn.keele.ac.uk
Keele People will be unavailable on Monday 31 January whilst upgrade work takes place.
The upgrade work will be completed by the system provider, Midland HR.
Once the system is available again on Tuesday 1 February, the Employee-Self-Service area, which colleagues use to view their details, request annual leave, view payslips, and book onto training opportunities amongst other things, will have a new look.
The navigation menu will move from the top of the screen to down the left-hand side, and some new functionality will also be available for colleagues to be able to do more on the system. More information about these changes will be communicated before this work takes place.
IDS will be making a change to the Eduroam network this evening (2nd February) around 5pm. At this time you may notice your device has to reconnect to Eduroam. If you find your device has changed networks, please reselect Eduroam and connect in the normal way.
