Some users attempting to perform searches in the Outlook desktop client and Outlook on the web may be intermittently impacted.
This is an issue on Microsoft's side which they are currently investigating.
They expect a fix by the end of January, the next update is due Friday, January 17, 2025 at 3:00 AM GMT
An update from Microsoft:
"We've confirmed that our code fix to trigger our automated recover service to restart infrastructure supporting search functionality and clear errors has begun its deployment to the affected environments. We still anticipate that this should allow us to achieve full remediation by the end of January 2025, and we're monitoring its progress as we assess if this resolution can be expedited.
